Mason Jars + Weddings

Mason jars have withstood the test of time! It was popular when it was first invented by John Landis Mason in 1858 because of the hermetic seal which preserved food for a longer time... and it's still popular today in the 21st century because of its versatility. You see them in homes for more practical uses like canning food and for decorative uses like holding flowers, organizing little knick knacks, and for gifting.  It's also used in weddings, restaurants, bars, and hotels.

If I were to do my wedding all over again I would incorporate mason jars as a major theme for the wedding. Why? Because I love mason jars!

Here are some mason jar themed invitations I love:

Here are some beautiful ways mason jars were incorporated into weddings:

Don't you just love all the colors? I definitely don't miss wedding planning but it's always fun to look at different wedding elements.  What do you guys think about mason jar themed weddings?

My Morning Skin Care Regimen

Many factors make a woman look beautiful. Wearing flattering clothes, having silky hair, putting on makeup, knowing exactly what pose to strike when the cameras go up, and the list goes on. However, I think the number one factor that makes someone look radiant at all times is their skin.  When we're younger, it's easy to mask the imperfections on our face with makeup products available on the market. But, as we get older, it becomes increasingly more challenging to fake that radiant skin.

I don't have problematic skin but I'm also far from having flawless skin, therefore I'm always on the hunt to find skin care products that actually make a difference.  When I see people with nice skin I always ask what products they use, but none of them seem to have the one, holy grail moisturizer or go-to treatments. Of course, if I was a quadrillionaire I can easily get that flawless skin everyone so desires, however I'm not even a millionaire... so that's out of the question. I also am not one of those lucky few who are blessed with good genetics, so keeping my face fresh, moisturized, and acne-free will be a lifelong concern.

I'm a total product junkie so I've tried a good share of skin care products (which I can afford), and since most women are interested in all things beauty, I'm going to share with you my daily morning skin care regimen. Although, my daily regimen isn't an answer to all my skin care woes, it gets the job done. Meaning it keeps my face nicely hydrated, pimple-free, even toned (for the most part), and wrinkle-free (kinda).

My Morning Regimen
I love this cleanser! It's gentle on the skin yet it gets all the makeup off. I usually switch to a different cleanser after finishing one but I'm already on my third tube!

Boscia is one of my favorite skin care brand because it's preservative-free. I like most of their products but their toners are definitely my fav.  I think I've been using Boscia's toner for years now. I've strayed and tried a couple other brands but I always come back to this bottle.

I've tried many different daily moisturizers and was never able to find just the right one for my skin. It was either too greasy or not enough hydration. This moisturizer, however, hydrates my skin even during the coldest winter days and it also doesn't make my face too oily. Plus, it has SPF 45 so no need to apply another layer of sunscreen!

Eye cream is one of those things I can never tell whether it works or not. I started using it in my early 20s because it was something you just had to do in order to feel a bit more mature. One thing I do notice about eye creams though is how well it hydrates the thin skin around my eye area. Some products definitely hydrate better than others. KORRES's eye cream keeps the skin around my eyes well hydrated!

I recently started using this product and I love it! I apply it under my makeup primer and see a noticeable difference with the oil production on my face.  No matter how many mattifying products I use by the middle of the day my face has that unflattering shine. However, this product keeps my face less oily for a longer time!

Well, there you have it, my morning skin care regimen.  I'll post my night skin care regimen soon!  Do you guys have any must-try skin care products?

Blogging for the first time!

Blogging is something completely new to me.  People around me blog about their lives, crafts, fashion, and business but I was hesitant about starting my own blog. However, with the opening of my Etsy store, Little Things, I decided to dive into this virtual world of blogging.

In my blog, I'll be posting about anything and everything! You can expect to see a glimpse into my married life, some DIY projects, food, fashion, great Etsy finds, books, and of course my jewelry!

For starters, since my 30th birthday is just around the corner, I thought it would be fitting to put together some birthday cards I absolutely adore.
